Award-winning filmmaker Video Rahim is a visionary storyteller with a prolific career spanning across various mediums including film, music videos, commercials, and documentaries. Rahim's journey into the world of filmmaking began at the Atlanta College of Art (ACA), where he was awarded a prestigious scholarship to study film at Prague's renowned FAMU, honing his craft and expanding his creative horizons.
During his time in school, Rahim showcased his talent by directing promotional videos and commercials for skateboard companies, laying the foundation for what would become a distinguished career in visual storytelling. His debut project, "Take a Ride Down," a compelling 35-minute narrative, garnered multiple awards, establishing Rahim as a promising filmmaker to watch.
Since graduating, Rahim has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry, working on national broadcast commercials and directing over 100 music videos for acclaimed artists such as Mastodon, Sleepy Brown, Arrested Development, Sugarhill Gang, Biters, Blackberry Smoke, and EarthGang, among others. His ability to seamlessly blend artistic vision with technical expertise has resulted in visually stunning and emotionally resonant works that captivate audiences worldwide.
Rahim's passion for exploring diverse narratives and pushing creative boundaries is evident in his extensive body of work. From documenting the legendary Dungeon Family for a Goodie Mob DVD to directing concert visuals for iconic tours featuring P. Diddy, Usher, and the Gorillaz, Rahim's versatility as a filmmaker knows no bounds.
In addition to his contributions to the world of music and commercial filmmaking, Rahim has exhibited his art installations alongside esteemed artists such as Spike Jonze, Harmony Korine, and Paul T. Anderson, further solidifying his status as a multifaceted creative force.
Currently, Rahim is in post-production on a groundbreaking documentary featuring a lineup of influential figures in the music industry, including Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Dave Chappelle, and The Beastie Boys, among others. His previous work, including the feature-length rock documentary "REBEL SCUM," has garnered critical acclaim, winning awards at prestigious film festivals such as the PollyGrind Film Festival and at Horrorvision Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain.
With an impressive portfolio that spans over two decades, Rahim continues to push the boundaries of visual storytelling, captivating audiences with his unique perspective and unwavering dedication to his craft.
